Fantastic Movement – Agape 10 (episode 2)

Day 2

Oh ya~ there were many activities in day 2. Like building water rocket, station game and amazing race…

We supposed wake up at 6.30am and having morning jog at the beach at 7am. But, our camp advisers noticed that our campers were so tired and would like to give them a very good and enough sleep, so, we let them sleep until 7am. We were just able to do some simple stretching in the morning that led by Kinn John and Tiam Fei. One of our committee members, Sue Vern was so tired in the early morning, she slept on the pondok in front of the campsite office. Come on girl! Just the second day!

Our MTV that morning led by the most creative committee member in Agape 10, Han Sze who known as So Leng Chai in our camp. He is blessed by God for having creativity and humorous. He gave all the campers a joyful and excited morning. All the campers laughed until “see teeth cannot see eyes”. We had our first session – Freedom by Mr Calvin from Bangsar Gospel Centre. We learned about what is the meaning of being free. Besides, we learned about the benefit of rule and regulations in our world. After that, we were separated into our own groups. We discussed and shared about “Freedom”. All the campers looked enjoyed the sharing section.

Then, of course, come to “build a rocket” time. There’s a kind of rocket without fire but with water, known as water rocket. They had to design and build a rocket for their groups. Ha~ha~ it was not easy, the physical concepts have to be applied on the water rocket. Actually there’s a secret: the cone of the rocket should be symmetrical to the center of the bottle so that the rocket does not flying up or down (Bernoulli’s Pronciple), the front part (cone) should be a bit heavy. But, there’s only 2 groups put some stones or sand into the cone… well, the rocket would launch at the 3rd day. Let wait and see whose rocket would fly further…

Let it be nice and stable.....hmm.... am i correct?

Guppy Group is making their awesome rocket

Tiam Fei is testing the power of the rocket launcher.

Wow~ is so powerful man!!

After lunch and rest, our batteries were charged fully!! We were ready to challenge the next activity which was station game. What we did in station game? Our brother Jason asked all the campers to cut and paste the alphabets from newspaper to form a bible verse, John 3:16. Looks like very easy, but there was not easy actually. The Guppy Group used quite a lot of time to complete it. Next, they had to carry a ball from a place to another by raffia string. It was another tough job for them. Ha~~ ha~~ good job Jason!!! Came to the last game, all the campers had to drink all the mineral water in the box… one of the young Guppy member, Zhi Ern (little 7), drank the water until her face became red. And Wen Seng, from Guppy too, drank the water until vomit!!! Haiz…. Patient my frined!

ah~~ drop...drop...

Weng Seng is vomiting the water....

Benjamin Ling:" is too easy for me!"

Afterward, we had 1 hour for discussion about Hollywood night! A group was given a brief story line from the Bible and having 2 task fulfillments. The first task fulfillment was action, comedy, mystery or romantics. The second task fulfillment was either dancing or singing.

Hurray! Came to Amazing race! This game was designed by the most creative man in our camp So leng Chai! Firstly, the campers were asked to line up in their group and sit down. And they had to use their legs only to pass water pails. The first finished this task were given the right to start Amazing Race first. The 2nd team who finished the task was delayed 60 seconds. The third team was delayed another 60 seconds. The same condition was applied on the last team.

They were given hints for finding 7 alphabets in our chalet area. Then, they had to find another hint at canteen area for the third destination. There was a small incident, Group Nemo which was the first team who started the race became the last team who reached the third destination. Why? Ha…ha… our good friend Benjamin (not the group leader) led his group to no way. He brought the first and second hints and lost them. And the whole team had to find the first and second hints and lead them to the last team reached the beach. Came to beach!!! Han Sze and Kah Choon hid the hints in the beach. All the campers had to dig the beach and find the hints. Hahaha… they were not able to find them, Han Sze had to give them some instructions finally. Well, afterward, they had to make a human sea turtle!!! Finally, they had to make a 10 minutes videos to promote the campsite… they cannot finish the last task because the sky became dark and lightning!!! All the campers moved back to the campsite…

Campers have to collect all the alphabets for knowing the next destination.

Guppy group leader, Ken Vi is using all his power to dig....

Hmm....what is this~

I push!!!

MTV section!!! Tiam Fei introduced the Monky Dance and Monkey Song to the campers. All the campers felt the song and dance were weird. Ha~ha~ that was just nice to punish the people who was late and lost in game.

During night, we had our 2nd topic which was self-worth by Mr Calvin too. We learned about the reason of low self esteem and the correct way to escape it. We also learn that in front of God’s eyes, we are precious too Him and He is willing to die for us.

The last activity of that night – Show time. in that time, we watched the video taken during Amazing Race. We were entertained by Vishnnu so much. He spoke a lot of things and don’t know what was the funny thing and made all of us laughed madly. Anyway, thank you Vishnnu!! Ahaha~~

Fantastic Movement – Agape 10 (episode 1)

Agape youth camp in this year is the 10th youth camp organized by Bentong Gospel Centre (BGC) Youth Fellowship (YF). Throughout the 9 years, we learned from mistakes and changed it, remained what is good, put it in Agape 10. Finally that was a better organizing in Agape 10.

Day 1

Campers are you ready? Yes! Campers were ready to move to Agape 10 at BGC. All the campers packed their stuff nicely and put in the bus. When all the things looked going smooth but camp commandant forgot to bring projector… Ops, How? Ha…Ha…. He had to go back and take… There was another small incident, Jason (our camp helper) was late because he just went back from Cyberjaya in that early morning. By God’s grace, he was able to step on the staircase of the bus… Ha..Ha…

There's the place we gathered and started the fantastic journey!!

If you think that the campers would keep quite because the people around them were not familiar and new for them. Then, you are totally wrong!! They mixed together, talking around, laughing around….madly! Hmm…looks like we did not need any ice-breaking session…

Kuantan!! We were here!!! After 4 hours plus journey, we came to Teluk Cempedak. Hui Kuan was crazy, she just ran to the beach and shouted. She never came to beach before and this was the first time. After getting lunch at a food court, we started to move to KempVille. There was another small incident, our camp commandant, Stephen forgot the way to KempVille!! Oh no… But, we still managed to get there!!

Teluk Cempedak, the first destination of Agape 10

We got there earlier than expected. Check - in which is the first activity of Agape 10 suppose started at 3pm but we reached there about 1.30pm. Furthermore, our material was still at Unser that was driven by our 2 camp advisers, Mr Chow and Mr Yap. Was quite funny, they got lost!!! So, Han Sze and Tiam Fei who in charged Ice-breaking had to changed their plan and figure out more games for Ice-breaking because ice-breaking section was much longer than what was planned. Anyway, by God’s grace, these two brothers were able to make it very good! And all the campers were laugh like mad!!! Wahahaha….. Maybe was no the games matter, but Han Sze and Tiam Fei are too handsome? Ho…ho… who knows?

Finally, Unser came!!! That means our stuff came!!!

The place we lived, we ate, we played, we laughed....

And we can be started Team Building on time!!! However, the sky looked dark and started drizzling. Oh no, it was another unexpected thing. Team building suppose played at outdoor. Now, we had to make it indoor. But, it was just drizzling for 5 minutes and stopped finally. Firstly, we had Spin-bean-cat walk. This awesome game was purposely designed by Justin, one of the Agape 10 committee members. Guys, you know how funny was it? See the photos!!!

Megan laughed until cannot see teeth and eyes!!

The most excited one of course was WATER!!! Our campers like water very much. When they see water, their eyes were shined!!! Campers had to use their legs to take up a pail of water. See is a thing, do is another thing. It was not easy weh~ The naughty Pei Win shook the pail when Tiam Fei, Justin, Cyrus, John and Ken Vi did the demonstration, made Tiam Fei’s trousers wet finally. Well, everyone had fun there…

All the salty foots....... yiyerh.....

Alright, the following game was to hold the pail of water with rubber tube and traveled it to another place. Looks like very easy, the campers knew the hardship when played it. This was because someone in the team had to be blinded folded…

Water is being filled, campers!! ready!!

Water was poured to another pail

The rubber tube was pulled by campers. Erm... looks like the tube does not follow the instruction...

Jia Jia(the girl who wears green shirt) tried to give instruction to the blind man.

Karen is feeling hard to open her mouth for giving instruction..... I think so~

The Snake. Finally… the teammate made a long line. The first person was the head who can “eat” other snake by grabbing a towel from the last person who was the tail of another snake. It really need a lot of communication and team work weh~ finally, don’t know was Molly won or Dolly won...

By 6.30pm, it was shower time!!! In a room we had to share bathroom with another 7 people. So, the room leader always shouted at the outside of the bathroom. “faster!!! Faster!!! No time ah!!” Actually there still had plenty of time. wahahaha~~

Around 7.30pm we had dinner together. We all enjoyed the meal however it was not taste very good because we were hungry after whole day travel all the way from Bentong.

We had our first MTV section, we sang, we played, we laughed. And we also started the Guardian Angel. Everyone had to take a name from a plastic bag and take care the person secretly during the camp... Finally, we had our beach exploration at night. There was a huge different experience. At the beach, we can't see anything, we just can heard the sound of sea water wave and the sound of laughing. And we can feel the embrace of the natural wind. Great time there!
